Susquehanna RiverThe region hosts several antique havens with over 450,000 SF of antique villages just four miles south! Milton is located on the banks of the longest non-navigable river in the world, the Susquehanna River. Fabridam-created Lake Augusta allows for the use of canoes, kayaks, pontoon boats and expensive motor boats all summer long. There is prime hunting and fly fishing in the northern mountains one-two hours north. Elk hunting is in the western part of the state. ThSusquehanna Rivere area is one of the last refuges for the nearly-extinct Spade-Foot Toad. The eagle population abounds with many nests along the Susquehanna River, which winds north into New York State from Milton. On the south end, it connects via Sunbury and Harrisburg to the mighty Chesapeake Bay.

State College, (Penn State University), and the stunning capitol, Harrisburg, are 50 miles away. All other points of interest (DC/NYC/Finger Lakes/Philadelphia, etc) are 150 miles from Milton. The major highway network offers easy on and off MAJOR highways just three to five miles away, such as route 80 connecting NY to California; routes 11 and 15 connecting Florida to Canada. Several beltways to the north regions are nearby. The closest airport is Williamsport or Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Large airports are at Philadelphia (3 hours) and Baltimore (2.0 hours).
